Two Drawer Nightstand
Two Drawer Nightstand
Couldn't load pickup availability
The Two-Drawer Stand is designed in the same vernacular as our dresser and is loosely based on an early Shaker double counter. Made in American cherry or walnut, it features carefully selected, single-board drawer fronts that highlight the distinctive grain patterns of each species.
The drawer boxes and back follow the New England tradition, crafted from 3/4" Eastern white pine with a birch plywood drawer bottom. Side-mount, full-extension glides provide smooth operation and complete access to the drawer interior. Each piece is finished with hand-rubbed raw linseed oil, consistent with our approach across the entire bedroom collection.
With its planted stance and simple lines, the stand works equally well as either a contrast to or a complement for a wide range of platform beds.

How Wood Changes with Time
-
FRESH CHERRY
Cherry begins pale and golden, with a clean, quiet grain. In the first months of use, light and air bring out its natural warmth and depth.
-
MATURE CHERRY
With time, cherry settles into a deeper red-brown tone. The grain becomes warmer and richer, giving the wood a more settled, lived-in character.
-
FRESH WALNUT
Fresh walnut begins dark and expressive, with cool brown tones and visible movement in the grain. At first, its color can feel more dramatic and varied.
-
MATURE WALNUT
With age, walnut gradually lightens toward a medium brown. The contrast softens, the undertones grow warmer, and the grain feels more settled over time.
Things to Know
At Roseland, we're proud to do things differently, from the way we source materials to the way we finish them. There are some important things we'd like you to know.
Wood tones change over time
Cherry will get substantially richer and darker over time depending on the UV exposure. Depending on UV exposure, it can take up to a year to reach the deep red that is so desirable. Walnut actually gets slightly lighter over time though it is less noticeable.
Linseed oil means a breathable, naturally coarser finish
Many furniture companies seal their wood with an additive layer that closes the grain and can be sanded to a near mirror finish - the lacquer or polyurethane is being sanded rather than the wood itself. With a breathable oil finish, the wood’s grain is exposed, which is naturally coarser than sanded polyurethane or lacquers.
3% of Profits to Bring back the American Chestnut
At Roseland, we're passionate tree buffs and are committed to helping bring back the iconic American chestnut to its native range. We will donate 3% of all unit-level profits at the end of 2026 to the American Chestnut Foundation and other similar efforts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are there glides on the drawer?
No, this follows a very traditional drawer construction.
How long does it take for the cherry to reach the darker tones?
The cherry oxidizes from the moment you receive it. It will be noticeable darker within three months and reach a more settled tone inside of the year.
How tall is it? Can I customize it?
The nightstand is 22" tall. We do not offer customizations.
Does the nightstand require assembly?
The nightstand requires minimal assembly with the only step being screwing the knobs into place.
What is the return policy or warranty?
We offer a 30 day return policy as well as our standard heirloom warranty for the nightstand. Roseland covers shipping both ways.
Consistent form. Varied scale.
The Two-Drawer Stand and our dressers share the same proportions, base profile, drawer construction, and oil finish. The form remains intact as the size shifts — creating continuity across a room without the feel of a matching set.
